US drilling rig count down by 8 rigs
The number of drilling rigs in the US decreased by 8 units to 647 in the week ending June 30.
The number of natural gas rigs fell to 124 and the number of oil rigs fell to 545. The total number decreased by 50 units on an annual basis.
Canada's drilling rig count decreased by 2
Canada's drilling rig count decreased by 2 rigs on a weekly basis to 167.
Oil drilling rigs decreased by one to 109. Natural gas drilling rigs increased by one to 58.
On a yearly basis, Canada's drilling rig count increased by one unit in total.
