The UK Department for Business and Trade announced, through a public notice issued under Regulation 101C(2)(a) of the Trade Remedies (Dumping and Subsidisation) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019, that the anti-dumping duties on certain cold-rolled flat steel products expired on 5 August 2026. The measure, which entered into force on 5 August 2021 for a five-year period, has therefore officially come to an end. The government also confirmed that the related public notice is no longer valid.
Anti-dumping duty rates
During the five-year period, different anti-dumping duty rates applied to Chinese and Russian producers and exporters:

19.7% for Angang Steel Company Limited and Tianjin Angang Tiantie Cold Rolled Sheets Co. Ltd. (China)

20.5% for the other Chinese exporters listed in Annex 1

22.1% for all other Chinese exporters

18.7% for Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (Russia)

34.0% for PAO Severstal (Russia)

36.1% for all other Russian exporters
The measure covered cold-rolled flat products of iron, non-alloy steel or alloy steel (excluding stainless steel) that were uncoated, unpainted and not further processed.
Wide range of UKGT commodity codes affected
The anti-dumping duties applied to imports classified under a wide range of UK Global Tariff (UKGT) commodity codes, including:
