Türkiye's wire rod imports increased by 32.8% in April

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's wire rod imports in April increased by 32.8% y/y from 43,092 tons to 57,206 tons. Compared to the previous month, March, it increased by 35.1%.

Total wire rod imports in the January-April period decreased by 0.2% from 159,015 tons to 158,740 tons.

In the month in question, China, Kazakhstan and Spain ranked in the top 3 in wire rod imports of Türkiye. Wire rod imports from China amounted to 10,245 tons, followed by Kazakhstan with 9,755 tons, Spain with 5,251 tons, Russia with 5,124 tons and the United Kingdom with 1,733 ton.
