Türkiye's scrap imports down 21.5% in March

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Türkiye's scrap imports in March decreased by 21.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, from 2 million 341 thousand 455 tons to 1 million 837 thousand 179 tons. It decreased by 13% compared to the previous month, February.

Total scrap imports in the January-March period increased by 7.8% from 4 million 928 thousand 908 tons to 5 million 315 thousand 144 tons.

Türkiye imported the most from EU countries in the said month. Imports from EU countries decreased by 29.4%. EU countries were followed by the USA with 9.1% increase, the United Kingdom with 10.6% decrease, Libya with 52.3% decrease and Venezuela with 74% decrease.
