Türkiye's pig iron imports decreased by 1.5% in January-August period

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's pig iron imports in August 2024 decreased by 24.8% y-o-y to 33,032 tons from 43,908 tons.

This figure was down 72% compared to the previous month of July.

Total pig iron imports in the January-August period decreased by 1.5% y-o-y to 880,410 tons from 893,968 tons.

Kazakhstan ranked first with 11,512 tons of pig iron imports, followed by Russia with 11,501 tons and South Africa with 10,000 tons.
