According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) and the Ministry of Trade's preliminary foreign trade statistics, Türkiye's iron and steel import value increased by 16.5% year on year to USD 2.18 billion in June 2026. Iron and steel ranked as the country's fifth-largest import product group by value during the month.
In the January–June period of 2026, Türkiye's iron and steel import value rose by 3.2% compared to the same period last year, reaching USD 11.53 billion.
Meanwhile, the import value of articles of iron or steel increased by 54% year on year to USD 474.25 million in June. This product group ranked as Türkiye's 14th-largest import category by value during the month.
In the January–June period, the import value of articles of iron or steel climbed by 17.2% year on year to USD 2.38 billion.
