According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Undersecretariat of Customs' preliminary foreign trade data, Türkiye's iron and steel import value in March decreased by 21.6% y/y to USD 1.68 billion.
In this month, iron and steel import value ranked sixth in the list of products with the highest import value.
During the January-March period of 2025, iron and steel import value decreased by 11.6% y/y to USD 5.16 billion.
During the month in question, the import value of iron or steel products ranked 14th in the list of the country's products with the highest import value. In the same month, the import value of iron or steel products increased by 10.23% to USD 346.60 million compared to the same month of the previous year, while it increased by 5.58% to USD 1.03 billion in the January-March period.
