Türkiye's HRC imports decreased by 19.5% in January-October period

According to data collected by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's imports of hot rolled steel sheet (HRC) decreased by 7.5% y-o-y in October 2024, from 298,156 tons to 275,747 tons. This figure increased by 0.15% compared to the previous month, September.

Total HRC imports in the January-October period decreased by 19.5% y-o-y from 3,665,986 tons to 2,952,779 tons.

China was the leading HRC importing country for Türkiye with 140,050 tons, followed by Egypt with 46,851 tons, Russia with 38,625 tons, Taiwan with 29,854 tons and South Korea with 10,910 tons.
