Türkiye's flat steel imports are on the rise! Monthly and annual increases are noteworthy

According to the information obtained by SteelRadar analysts from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, Türkiye's flat steel imports in October increased by 23.35% compared to the same month of the previous year, and decreased by 4.34% compared to the previous month, reaching 738,031 tons.

Looking at the total import figures, Türkiye imported a total of 7,622,025 tons of flat steel in the period January-October 2022, while it imported 8,297,016 tons in the same period this year, an increase of 8.9 %.

In the January-October period of last year, the highest import level was recorded in July, while the lowest level was recorded in October. In this period of this year, the highest import was recorded in May, while the lowest import was recorded in January.
