According to the information compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) foreign trade data, Türkiye's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports increased by 29.09% in 2023 compared to the previous year, while its exports decreased by 12.44%.
By looking at the import data, CRC imports, which were 701,856 tons in 2022, increased by 29.09% to 906,050 tons in 2023.
On a monthly basis, cold rolled coil imports in December 2023 increased by 17.96% compared to the same month of the previous year, and decreased by 13.33% compared to the previous month, reaching 57,368 tons. While December was the month with the lowest imports throughout the year, the highest imports were recorded in August.

12.44% decrease in exports
There was a decrease in exports. Türkiye's CRC exports, which were 458,204 tons in 2022, decreased by 12.44% to 401,212 tons in 2023.
In December, exports increased by 147.66% compared to the same month of the previous year and 87.19% compared to the previous month. Throughout the year, the highest exports were seen in November and the lowest exports were seen in March.
