According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports fell by 17.3% year on year to 68,918 mt in May from 83,307 mt in the same month of last year. Compared to 66,152 mt imported in April, May imports increased by 4.2% month on month.
During the January-May period, Türkiye's total CRC imports declined by 12.1% year on year to 329,020 mt, down from 374,262 mt in the corresponding period of the previous year.
During the first five months of the year, South Korea was Türkiye's largest CRC supplier with 130,510 mt, followed by Russia with 100,493 mt, France with 22,664 mt, China with 17,893 mt, and Belgium with 6,502 mt.
In May, Russia ranked as Türkiye's largest CRC supplier with 38,320 mt, followed by South Korea with 18,078 mt, China with 5,581 mt, France with 3,758 mt, and Belgium with 1,096 mt.
