According to a statement from the company, the project is being developed across an area of 1,450 hectares and is targeted to reach an installed capacity of 120.56 MW upon completion. In the first phase, installation across an area of 320 decares was completed and the plant began operations.
The project is being carried out with GE Vernova equipment and in cooperation with İnogen, while the entire solar power plant is planned to be commissioned by the end of August.
Tosyalı stated that the solar panels used at the SPP site are produced by Tosyalı Enerji and have the highest power capacity among solar panels manufactured in Türkiye. The panels are supported by a solar tracking system (tracker) that follows the sun throughout the day. The company stated that, under suitable conditions, this system can enable 20% to 40% higher energy generation compared with fixed systems.
The statement emphasized that domestic production capacity continues to be supported through renewable energy investments, while the project is expected to contribute to the company’s sustainable production and energy transition goals.
