According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s billet and bloom imports amounted to 504,676 tons in June, up from 501,045 tons in the same month of the previous year. This represented a 0.7% year-on-year increase. On a monthly basis, imports rose by 3.0% from 489,802 tons in May.
Total billet and bloom imports in the January-June period of 2026 increased to 2,654,360 tons from 2,064,921 tons in the same period last year. Accordingly, imports rose by 28.6% year on year in the first half of the year.
Russia ranked first among Türkiye’s billet and bloom suppliers in June, with 176,325 tons. Imports from Russia increased by 32.1% compared to the same month last year. Billet and bloom imports from China declined by 7.6% year on year to 103,713 tons. Imports from Malaysia stood at 57,307 tons, while imports from the UAE increased by 14.3% to 29,976 tons.
