According to the Notification on Prevention of Unfair Competition in Imports published in the Turkish Official Gazette dated 25 December 2024 (today), a dumping investigation was started against some steel products originating from the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Korea upon the application of domestic producers.

The investigation, which was initiated as a result of the application made by the Cold Rolling Galvanised and Prepainted Steel Sheet Producers Association, covers cold rolled flat steel, galvanised flat steel and painted flat steel products.
The investigation is based on the allegation that the products classified under the wide range of customs tariff statistical positions specified in the communique are sold at dumped prices in the Turkish market, causing damage to domestic producers.

According to the information in the Turkish Official Gazette, the procedures and principles of the investigation have been determined and it is reported that the steps to be taken to protect domestic producers will be followed.
