Turkish company Shahi Steel opened its new production facility in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Turkish steel producer Shahi Steel has launched a new production facility in the industrial zone in Gradačac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The plant will focus on steel constructions, industrial buildings, living containers and prefabricated housing.

The company's investment in Bosnia was made possible thanks to factors such as a skilled workforce, developed infrastructure and strategic location, as well as the region's perspective of integration into the European Union.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Gradačac, Hajrudin Mehanović, described this investment as an important step in the process of economic transformation and stated that all kinds of support will be provided to Turkish investors.

Mehanović stated that one of the strongest strengths of Gradačac is its educated and hardworking labor force, and that this feature will also encourage future investments. He also emphasized that the municipality will continue to provide full support to all investors.

Edin Duraković, Minister of Economy of Tuzla Canton, stated that “As the Ministry of Economy and the TK Government, it is our primary responsibility to stand by such investments.”
