Turkey's CRC imports decrease

In the first ten months of this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil imports amounted to 602,400 tons, falling 9.4 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In this period, the value of imports amounted to USD 623 million, up 1.7% year on year.

Among these, the top three sources of imports were Russia (approximately 247,600 tons, falling 4.7 percent year on year), China (approximately 125,100 tons, falling 45.2 percent year on year) and South Korea (approximately 113,900 tons, rising 54.2 percent year on year).

In October, Turkey imported approximately 37,000 tons of CRC, falling 53% month on month and 32% year on year. These imports totaled roughly US$ 34.1 million, falling 55% month on month and 46% year on year.
