TUCSA and ARMS strengthen cooperation in modular construction

Turkish and Russian modular construction associations have taken the first step towards a partnership focused on innovation and sustainability in the sector.

TUCSA and ARMS strengthen cooperation in modular construction

The Turkish Constructional Steelwork Associaton (TUCSA) and the Russian Association for the Development of Modular Construction (ARMS) organized a joint meeting in İstanbul to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of modular construction. Held on April 16, 2025 at Delta İstanbul West Hotel, the meeting was attended by representatives from both associations as well as leading companies from Türkiye and Russia.

During the meeting, topics such as innovation, sustainability and development of industry standards in modular buildings came to the fore. Both sides expressed their willingness to share their areas of expertise and contribute to the development of the sector.

In Russia, where modular structures have become a strategic priority due to the increasing need for housing, the work of ARMS, which was established in 2023, in this field draws attention. Modular structures are included in the list of critical materials in Russia and encouraged by the state. As the sector continues to grow with advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation, it was evaluated that Türkiye can play an active role in this market.

In the statements made after the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation would make significant contributions not only to the sectors but also to the economies of both countries. Participants pointed out that this contact is the beginning of a long-term cooperation.

As part of the cooperation, the ARMS delegation is scheduled to visit TUCSA members KARMOD and VEFA Holding facilities in Türkiye on April 17, 2025. The parties stated that visits and joint work will continue.
