Trump: Iran is taking an increasingly serious approach in the negotiations

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he has not yet made a final decision regarding potential military action against Iran, adding that Tehran has been adopting an increasingly constructive and serious approach in the ongoing negotiations.

Trump: Iran is taking an increasingly serious approach in the negotiations

Speaking at a press conference at the White House, Trump answered reporters' questions and commented on whether the United States would launch a large-scale military operation against Iran.

Trump said that he has not yet decided on carrying out a broad military strike against Iran, stating, "Iran is taking an increasingly serious approach in the negotiations," indicating that the diplomatic process remains ongoing.

Emphasizing that he does not want to act hastily, Trump said that he trusts the commitments made to him by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He added, "I don't think Russia or China would want to disappoint me. I don't know to what extent they are supporting Iran."

Trump reiterates Abraham Accords condition for Saudi Arabia

The planned nuclear energy cooperation with Saudi Arabia was also discussed during the press conference. Trump reiterated that Saudi Arabia must join the Abraham Accords, to which Israel is a party, for the proposed agreement with Riyadh to move forward.

Describing the Abraham Accords as highly successful, Trump said that the time has come for Saudi Arabia to become part of the process. He noted that Saudi Arabia had previously been reluctant to take this step due to security concerns related to Iran but argued that those obstacles have largely disappeared under the current circumstances.
