There has been an increase in the number of workers and factories participating in the protest that started in the steel factories in Berlin with the demand for a salary increase in the past days.
An agreement could not be reached in the third round of labor wage negotiations. Following the failure to reach an agreement, the German Metal Workers' Union called on workers to protest.
Nearly 200,000 workers and more than 1,000 factories took part in the protests.
In the action, the next round of which will be held on November 8, IG Metal demanded an 8% salary increase for 3.8 million workers.
