The fuel oil recycling facility at TÜPRAŞ's Izmit refinery will undergo maintenance

Türkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AŞ (Tüpraş) declared that operations at the fuel oil recycling facility in İzmit refinery will be suspended for 92 days from March 1 due to periodic maintenance work.

The fuel oil recycling facility at TÜPRAŞ's Izmit refinery will undergo maintenance

Tüpraş made a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), stating that production is expected to decrease by approximately 300 thousand tons per month due to maintenance.

It was stated in the announcement that this decrease will be compensated by the increase in import volume and therefore no impact on the sales volume is expected.

The statement of Tüpraş as follows;

"Periodic maintenance work at our fuel oil recycling facility in İzmit refinery, which is technically required to be carried out every 5 years, will start on March 1 and a 92-day shutdown is planned. Although no direct impact on final sales volume is foreseen as the decrease in production due to the shutdown will be compensated by imports, a total EBITDA loss of 196 million dollars is expected due to the decrease in production."
