Tata Steel Netherlands plans to supply green steel to Ford factories in Europe after 2030, according to a preliminary agreement between the two companies.
“Ford wants to have a significant amount of crude steel and we will take steps to deliver it,” CEO Hans van den Berg said in an interview.
Ford also said it signed memoranda of understanding with Tata Steel, ThyssenKrupp and Salzgitter to supply "low carbon" steel for use in the production of a new electric crossover model that the company plans to start production in Cologne next year.
