Tata Steel completes merger with S&T Mining Company

The merger plan officially became effective as of December 1, 2023. Under the terms of the merger, S&T Mining, which, in addition to exploring and developing coal mines, also provides mining operations, exploration and geology, project evaluation and mineral beneficiation services, was dissolved without going through a liquidation process.

Tata Steel is actively integrating several subsidiaries into its own operations. CEO and Managing Director T. V. Narendran had earlier stated that the merger of subsidiaries into Tata Steel is on track to be completed in FY 2023-24.
