Taiwan's Walsin Lihwa's consolidated revenue up in May

Walsin Lihwa, a Taiwanese producer of stainless steel wire rods and cables, reported that its consolidated revenue in May rose by 2.98% month-on-month but fell by 11.48% year-on-year to nearly NTD 15.7 billion (approximately USD 514.39 million), marking an 8-month high.

Over the first five months of the year, the company's consolidated revenue amounted to approximately NTD 71.4 billion (approximately USD 2.34 billion), representing a 15.59% decrease compared to the same period last year.

The increase in May's revenue was driven by rising nickel and copper prices, particularly the London Metal Exchange (LME) nickel prices, which rebounded to around USD 20,000.
