Taiwan's new stainless steel prices for October were bolstered by the key producers' target to keep prices stable, as investors' concerns over China's Evergrande Group's debt crisis, which could affect the global economy and stabilize nickel prices, eased.
The international price of nickel and ferrochrome, two key raw materials for stainless steel production, continued to rise, so market participants expect the new prices for October to remain stable or to be raised by the end of this month. As a result of the evaluations, the raw material price ranges for steel production seem positive.
