The company raised rebar prices by NTD 200 (about USD 7.06) per ton to NTD 19,300 (about USD 684.58). This increase reflects the ongoing changes in the global steel market.
Despite this increase, scrap prices remained stable at NTD 10,300 per tonne (about USD 364.65) and section prices at NTD 26,200 per tonne (about USD 926.76).
The situation is similar in international markets. Japan's H2 scrap prices remained unchanged at USD 357 per ton, while containerized scrap prices in the US remained stable at USD 345 per ton. Australian iron ore prices, a key component of steel production, rose to USD 110.35 per tonne from USD 106.6 per tonne.
Feng Hsin Steel Co. also commented on the latest developments regarding US scrap shipments. The company confirmed last week that there were no offers for US scrap shipments.
