Taiwan steel industry wants to reduce production

Large steel mills around the world, affected by the Russia-Ukraine war, are reducing production.

11 factories in China stopped operating in August due to power outages. US Steel's Košice plant in Slovakia has suspended its No.2 blast furnace production for two months.

Therefore, the Taiwanese domestic steel industry requested a reduction of more than 30% to China Steel Corporation (CSC) to reduce production.
