Suez Steel obtains TÜV Rheinland certification for railway rail production

Egypt based Suez Steel Company announced that it has achieved TÜV Rheinland certification for the production and sale of railway rails, marking a significant milestone for the country’s industrial sector. In the company’s statement, it was noted that the certification confirms compliance with international production standards, while it was emphasized that this achievement represents a first for a company in Egypt and marks a critical threshold for the sector.

It was reported that the certification process included conformity assessments of production lines, detailed inspections of manufacturing operations, and comprehensive reviews of European Union verification procedures. It was further stated that compliance with RFU (Recommendations for Use) criteria was also evaluated, confirming that international requirements in terms of quality, safety, and performance have been fully met.

The development is expected to enhance the company’s position in global markets, while contributing to the establishment of a standards-compliant domestic supply structure for railway rail production in Egypt. Experts highlighted that this step will support infrastructure investments, reduce dependence on imports, and help build a more competitive industrial ecosystem.
