SteelRadar Meets Resonac EMEA Specialist Daniel Benedeti at EFRS 2026
The 10th International Iron and Steel Symposium (EFRS 2026), one of the key gatherings of the global steel industry, was held at the İzmir Tepekule Congress and Exhibition Center under the motto “Digital Steel for a Greener World.”
As part of its activities during the event, SteelRadar met with Daniel Benedeti, Product Performance Development Specialist at Resonac EMEA, a global supplier of graphite electrodes and carbon-based advanced materials.
During the meeting, held on June 11–12, discussions focused on next-generation graphite electrode technologies that enhance efficiency in electric arc furnaces (EAFs), as well as ongoing digitalization initiatives within the steel industry. The parties also exchanged views on solutions aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of steel production.
Daniel Benedeti emphasized that high-performance electrodes and refractory components play a critical role in lowering operational costs throughout the green steel transition. The discussion also highlighted the importance of energy optimization in achieving more sustainable steelmaking processes.
