Inventories of five major finished steel products of 184 Chinese steelmakers sampled in Mysteel's weekly survey returned to a downtrend on August 5-11, after a short-term recovery compared to the previous week, mainly thanks to the recovery that outstripped growth in demand.
Total inventories of the five main carbon steel finished products, consisting of rebar, wire rod, hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil and medium plate, reached 6.36 million tons as of August 11, down 1% week on week versus 6.2% growth.
