China exported about 7.5 million tons of metal products in June 2023, down 0.7% from the same period last year. China's steel exports reversed their year-on-year growth trend for 13 straight months, declining for the first time.
High inflation, ongoing geopolitical conflicts, volatile financial markets and trade barriers have all led to a slowdown in global production, weakening external demand.
