As part of the visit, Consul General Vinito was accompanied by Trade Consul Mr. Moin Akhtar and Trade and Investment Officer Ms. Emine Tezel. The main agenda of the meeting was to increase the current trade volume between the two countries and to maximize export potential in the steel sector.

The key topics highlighted during the meeting were:

Export Momentum: Strategic steps to increase the Turkish steel sector’s share in the Indian market.

Cooperation Opportunities: Establishing new platforms to bring together investors from both countries.

Overcoming Trade Barriers: Improving bureaucratic and logistical processes that hinder current trade volume.

In their statement following the meeting, officials from the Steel Exporters’ Association expressed their satisfaction with the visit of the Indian delegation. Emphasizing that the meeting was highly productive, the officials stated: “We focused on very valuable projects that will further advance economic relations between the two countries and boost our exports.”

Future Outlook

This visit once again demonstrated Turkey’s determination to strengthen its trade balance with a massive economy like India. In the coming period, these diplomatic engagements are expected to translate into concrete trade agreements and joint investment projects.
