South Korea launches AD investigation into stainless steel sheets imported from China

South Korea announced that it has launched an anti-dumping investigation into stainless steel plates imported from China, following a request by local steel producer DK Corporation.

The Korea Trade Commission announced on September 6, 2024, that it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into stainless steel sheets of Chinese origin with a thickness of at least 4.75 mm and a width of at least 600 mm. The investigation was initiated in response to a request submitted by local steel producer DK Corporation on June 28, 2024.

The investigation period covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 2023, while the evaluation period covers the period from January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023. The preliminary decision is expected to be announced within three months. The GTIP codes of the products in question were announced as 7219.21.1010, 7219.21.1090, 7219.21.9000, 7219.22.1010, 7219.22.1090 and 7219.22.9000.
