Solar Steel has signed an agreement with Inver Renewable Management to supply 472 MWp of solar tracking systems for Peru's largest solar project. The project includes the CSF Illa Solar Park in La Joya in the Arequipa region, which will be one of the largest in Latin America when completed.
Under the agreement, Solar Steel will provide Inver Renewable Management with more than 6,800 solar tracking systems in 1P configuration. The company will use state-of-the-art systems that increase energy efficiency and clean energy production, in line with the experience gained through its operations in Peru since 2014.
The project is expected to generate approximately 1.2 TWh of energy per year, which is approximately 2.5% of Peru's total annual energy production. The tracking systems will support more than 740,000 high-power solar panels, maximizing energy production in one of the highest solar radiation regions in the world.
The solar park, which is currently under construction, is planned to operate for at least 30 years. In addition to the project, Solar Steel and Inver Renewable Management are also investing in social and environmental projects for the local community, aiming for long-term sustainable development.
