The company was forced to suspend production due to a major accident that disabled the main motor of the hot rolling mill. Its repair, as previously planned, took about three months.
SIJ Acroni is the largest steel producer in Slovenia and one of the few European companies capable of producing stainless steel sheets up to 2500 mm wide. The plant's production capacity can theoretically reach 800 thousand tons per year.
