Despite the decline in flat products in the US market, Brazilian exporters continue to keep their slab offers unchanged.
Offers at Brazilian ports have not fallen below $830-845 per ton so far. However, counter requests from buyers on the US East Coast do not exceed $800-810 per ton. While the downward trend of HRC continues in the US market, May futures are already trading in the range of $1140-1150 per short ton, with a decrease of $25-30.
Experts predict that Brazilian producers will not be able to keep their prices stable any longer, while May slab offers are expected to fall below $790 per tonne.
