Sheng Yu Steel Co., Ltd, one of the leading coated steel manufacturers in Taiwan, (SYSCO) announced a price increase of NT$1,500/ton for domestic galvanized steel and pre-painted steel sales in March, equivalent to the increase made by Yieh Phui.
International steel prices continue to increase and demand is expected to be strong in the second quarter of this year. However, it seems that demand remains weak in the local market. As downstream dealers are under pressure to reflect the increase in new orders, they are not currently increasing prices, but they continue to follow the market.
