A fire broke out in the container warehouse of Hatay's Iskenderun Port, one of the 10 cities hit by 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaras. It took days of work to bring the fire under control and extinguish it.
The fire, which lasted for 3 days, was brought under control with the support of the Beriev firefighting aircraft and T79 firefighting helicopter used for forest fires under the General Directorate of Forestry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
While the cooling works were completed, the removal of the scrapped containers in the fire zone began.
On the one hand, the teams are lifting the containers with construction machines and on the other hand, they are cleaning the area.
