Sanctions on the Russian Federation have affected the country's production and export sales of metal products, causing it to decrease. But continued imports to the European Union allowed the volume of Russian steel exports to retain its value.
Sanctions restrictions have also caused Russian exporters to lose part of their traditional market, and the prices of steel products of the Russian Federation to be lower than in other countries.
Russia's hot rolled coil (HRC) exports in 2022 decreased compared to the previous year and amounted to 3.5 million tons, while hot rolled coil exports to Turkey amounted to 1.2 million tons.
