It has been announced that the main focus of Finland-base stainless steel producer Outokumpu, which has transferred most of its long products units to Italian stainless steel producer Marcegaglia, will be stainless steel flat products and ferrochrome.
It is known that the value of this transaction, which was carried out as share sale, is approximately 288 million euros. Among the units sold include melting and bar operations in the UK, bar operations in the USA and a wire rod in Sweden. It is among the information obtained that Outokumpu Long Products AB, which is located in Sweden and operating in Degerfors and Storfors, is not included in the agreement.
