According to the statistics of Russia's Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), Russia's stainless steel production amounted to approximately 30,000 tons in June, up 14 percent compared to the previous month and 60.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the first half of this year, Russia produced approximately 123,300 tons of stainless steel, up 27 percent year on year. The growth in production was supported by stable demand.
In terms of imports, Russia's stainless steel imports in June totaled 42,000 tons, down 9.3 percent month on month and up 45 percent year on year. Among these, China was the largest supplier with a 56 percent share.
