As September nears, Russian suppliers are strategically lowering their hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices to maintain their presence in the export market. Recent reports indicate that Russian HRC sales over the last two weeks have been around $530 per tonne FOB Black Sea. Currently, steel suppliers are negotiating further sales at slightly reduced prices, ranging from $515 to $520 per tonne FOB Black Sea.
This decline in HRC prices is part of a broader trend affecting Russian steel products. Cold-rolled coil prices have also decreased, now standing at $630 per tonne FOB Black Sea.
These price adjustments are aimed at sustaining export volumes and ensuring competitive positioning in the global market amidst changing economic conditions.
