Russian HRC is limited on the international market

This month, Russian HRC sellers were scarcely seen in the international market. Due to unfavorable trading conditions, many sellers chose to avoid export sales, directing their efforts towards the domestic market instead.

Suppliers have reached higher price levels, but this trend is unlikely to continue and future offers may see a decline in prices. Approximately 3,000 tons of the product from June production were sold to Türkiye at $575-580/t FOB Black Sea. Three weeks ago this was around $557-558/t.

HRC prices compiled by SteelRadar are as follows:

MMK:

$565 FOB Black Sea (june)

$560 FOB Black Sea (may)

$565 FOB Black Sea (may)

NLMK:

$565 FOB Black Sea (june)

$575 FOB Black Sea (june)

$575 FOB Black Sea (may)

Severstal:

$560 FOB Black Sea (june)

$570 FOB Black Sea (may)

$565 FOB Black Sea (may)

Some recent slab deals from June production by EVRAZ include the following:
$510 CFR Türkiye; 10,000 tons
$515 CFR Türkiye; 10,000 tons
$490 FOB Baltic Sea; 10,000 tons
