Russia aims to replace almost all of its foreign aircraft fleet with domestic aircraft by 2030.
700 aircraft are required for the project
It is stated that 700 domestic aircraft are needed in the transportation strategy project determined by Russia for the period until 2030. Hundreds of Boeing, Airbus and Embraer aircraft will be replaced with domestic models. According to the ministry's statement, it is predicted that in 2030, air traffic in Russia will increase by 38 percent from 128 million to 177 million, and the need for domestic aircraft will increase.
According to Air Charter Service data, as of 2019, Russian airlines have about 500 medium-range Airbus (А320, А319, А321), Boeing 737 and 125 long-range Boeing aircraft.
