Rebar prices recover slightly in Spain, demand remains weak. The Spanish rebar market has seen a rebound in prices, but sales values remain weak compared to the last week of October.
"The long government formation process following the general elections in July has affected the sector. However, the construction sector in Spain should soon return to normal activity with the release of public investment in major infrastructure," sellers commented.
As for 16 mm rebar, ex-works prices are at €612-622/ton ($668-679), although some offers are heard at €625/ton ex-works. Despite the recent rebound in prices, they are €25/ton lower than at the end of October.
