Rebar and wire rod prices are flat in Poland due to slowing demand

While local rebar prices in Poland saw a mild decrease, wire rod prices experienced a marginal increase due to subdued demand. The market exhibited no substantial alterations attributable to the prevailing demand weakness.

In response to the buyers' request for lower prices, offers were made for average quantities of 1,000 tons at 2,720 zlotys per ton CPT, which is equivalent to around 2,700 zlotys per ton ex-works.

The weekly price assessment for domestically produced rebar in Poland indicated a decrease from the range of 2,730-2,780 zlotys per ton on November 3 to 2,700-2,780 zlotys per ton by November 10, reflecting a diminution of 30 zlotys.

According to information sourced from industry sources, Polish manufacturers persisted in offering wire rod within the bracket of 2,900-3,100 Polish Zlotys per ton CPT in the preceding week. However, demand for the material remained moderate and no major deals were announced.

The weekly price assessment for steel wire rod, delivered within Poland, witnessed an ascent from 2,800-2,900 zlotys per ton on November 3 to 2,850-2,900 zlotys per ton by November 10, signifying a 50 zlotys increment.

Polish producers were reportedly considering increasing wire rod prices by €30 for November but abandoned the idea due to weak demand.
