Qarmet Tubular Products Aktau plans to expand production to 100 thousand tonnes

According to the press service of Qarmet the relevant statement was made during the visit of the company's management to the plant. Currently, the Qarmet Tubular Products Aktau production complex has an annual capacity of 60,000 tonnes of tubular products and has over 200 employees. However, the company sees the need for expansion and modernisation, which is confirmed by plans to start construction of a new representative office and increase production capacity.

The visit included inspection of the pipe electric welding shop, protective coatings shop and laboratory of the plant. The representatives of the plant reported on the progress of current projects, such as reconstruction of the Karaganda-Temirtau water pipeline.

Andrey Lavrentiev, shareholder of the company, emphasised the importance of improving working conditions and technologies at the plant. The expansion of production to 100 thousand tonnes will improve the company's competitiveness and meet the growing demand for pipe products.

An important point during the visit was the discussion of QTPA development perspectives with the Governor of Mangistau region Nurlan Nogaev. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening economic ties. According to Nogaev, Mangistau region has significant potential for investment projects, including exploration of new fields and development of offshore areas. The region's transport and logistics potential is also an important factor for future development, with two international transport corridors, TRACECA and North-South, crossing the region, connecting Eastern Europe with Central Asia and Northern Europe with the Persian Gulf countries.
