With the Communiqué No. 1 published in the Official Gazette, a significant change took place in the Rebar Monitoring System (IDIS) Application General Communiqué.
According to the second paragraph of the provisional Article 1, manufacturers and importers who have rebar without a safety label and/or safety mark in their stocks from March 16, 2023, January 1, 2024 and others from January 31, 2024 are included in the new regulation in the rebar surveillance system. These stocks would no longer be able to be sold after this date. However, with the published notice, these dates have been significantly changed.
With the update, the date was changed from January 31, 2024 to April 30, 2024. Accordingly, those who have rebar stocks without a safety label and/or safety mark and those who are not manufacturers and importers can sell these stocks up to (and including) April 30, 2024. However, without a new extension, it will not be possible to sell them after this date. Representatives of the construction industry and interested parties are asked to review their sales strategies in light of this update.
