Choi Jeong-woo, president of South Korean steel producer POSCO, met with Ukrainian Ambassador to South Korea Dmytro Ponomarenko and Ukrainian MPs. Choi Jeong-woo stated that they would support Ukraine's post-war reconstruction efforts at their meeting.
In the statements made, it was stated that the cooperation between the two countries will become even stronger.
POSCO launched the unit called the Ukraine Restructuring Task Force in March. The unit aims to take part in the reconstruction project. Target areas include steel, energy, infrastructure, food and secondary battery materials.
Ukrainian lawmakers Andriy Nikolayenko said, "I think POSCO Group is the best partner for the reconstruction of war-torn Ukraine and the further construction of a new Ukraine."
