The management board of the industrial group Boryszew SA reported that the Rurexpol facility of the subsidiary Alchemia SA initiates the liquidation process.
Rurexpol, producing seamless pipes with a diameter range of 121-273 mm, stated that due to the weakening of the situation in the European steel industry, Alchemia lost its market competitiveness as the demand for its products decreased. Insufficient manufacturing technology and the high cost of production are among the reasons for the decision to liquidate Rurexpol.
Alchemia's decision to liquidate the Rurexpol branch was said to be due to the conditions in production, manufacturing, and cost. According to the report, with this liquidation, approximately 260 employees until February 2025 to lose their jobs.
