Nucor has maintained its plate pricing at $1,570/short ton for the third month, as it prepares to open its September books.
Prices have been relatively stable since May, with plate service centers noticing that resale prices are undercutting replacement prices. Some speculate that Nucor may lower prices to offset rising costs.
